Hyperhydrosis TreatmentThis is the treatment of excessive underarm sweating with ani-wrinkle injections. In the UK this procedure is sometimes available on the NHS so if you are interested and don't mind the NHS waiting times then we would suggest you contact your General Practitioner (GP) to arrange a possible referral.
If you would rather be treated straight away or you do not qualify for NHS hyperhydrosis treatment then we are more than happy to offer it on a private basis in our clinics. The medicine is administered in specific locations under the arm to stop underarm sweating. This lasts typically 9-12 months before needing to repeat the procedure. Patients sometimes get increased sweating elsewhere but this is generally insignificant in comparison to the problem being treated. |

FAQs
1. Will it be painful? - the numbing gel that is placed on the area to be injected is very strong and very effective, clients typically report none to mild pain with this procedure although sometimes clients will get mild skin irritation for a few days afterwards.
2. Can I get this treatment on the NHS? There is some provision of this treatment on the NHS in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK so we would suggest if you are thinking about this treatment to visit your GP for an NHS referral in the first instance. If you are unable to get the treatment under the NHS or you would rather have it carried out privately then we are happy to see and treat you.
3. Will I still need deodorant after treatment? we would not recommend using deodorant or shaving under the arms for 48 hours to help avoid skin irritation following treatment. After 48 hours you can use deodorant as normal but it will only be used as a scent.
